The Southwest Atlanta Community Development Corporation’s focus and purpose is to provide much needed community based services to youth, their families, and local schools in the South Fulton County and surrounding areas. To collaborate with and support other nonprofit groups whose focus is in the areas of education, cultural awareness, and social/recreational development for the betterment of the communities we serve.

We Are Dedicated
The Southwest Atlanta Community Development Corporation, Inc. is a nonprofit 501 © (3) organization. It was formed to provide community youth development programs in the areas of: Unincorporated South Fulton County, North and South Clayton County, South Metro Atlanta, Fairburn, and Union City. It was an out growth of a long-range citizen’s committee formed in 1992 by members of New Life Presbyterian Church and other community citizens. Southwest Atlanta Community Development Corporation, Inc. shall be exclusively devoted to charitable, human service or educational purposes.

CASES Summer Camp

Community Academy for Summer Enrichment Sessions Summer Camp goal each year is to provide a service that will motivate our campers to participate in various activities and broaden their thoughts through multiple exposures. The camp provides a balance of academics, cultural exposures, recreation activities, arts/crafts, club time, mentoring, field trips, and much more to inspire our children to learn. The program has two coed camps: CASES Day Camp Pre-K through 5th grades and SW Teen Camp 6th through rising 10th grades. Our camps are designed to help youth make a smooth transition into the upcoming school year. The weeks spent at summer camp will allow the children to demonstrate their creativity in a positive way.

Sports
The Southwest Tigers and Tigeretts Basketball and Cheerleader Sports program provides recreational development exposure and training for community youth. The SW Tigers and Tigeretts Basketball Program provide fall and winter training and local league exposure for boys and girls ages 5 – 16 years old. The Southwest Cheerleader program provides training for girl’s ages 5-12 years old. It functions yearly based on the availability of volunteer coaches and community support.

Strategic Goals
|
- Improve the health of our communities through youth outreach programmatic activities that encourages: academic achievement, good sportsmanship values in recreation, life long good health, and nutrition habits.
- Enhance partnerships and working relationships with community schools, church groups, nonprofit organizations, federal, and state government funding agencies.
- Improve in the development and training of the specific sport activities we provide to community youth.
- Engage and support stake holders: community youth, residents, local school staff, and private business sector. With the purpose to improve community wellness for a self sustaining South Fulton County.

Partnerships should be designed to enhance each entities objective, not to displace human resources or disturb the process in the targeted areas of service.

Staff
The Southwest Atlanta Community Development Corporation consists of nine board members.
The staff members of C.A.S.E.S. Summer Day Camp, C.A.S.E.S. Teen Camp, the consist of the Program Director, Assistant Director, Teachers, College Interns, Youth Counselors, Administrative Assistant, Bookkeeper, Food Service and a Janitorial Staff. All teachers are certified or classified and employed by the surrounding Boards of Education or other private schools in the metro Atlanta area.
The basketball program staff members consist of volunteer: program director, assistant program director, coordinators, head coaches, assistant coaches, and team parents.
